Motorcycling NT offers face to face weekend seminars.
Common Module Course
This is a 3hr course requirement for all Northern Territory volunteers wishing to obtain a ‘Key Official’ accreditation.
At the end of this course and as outlined in the Manaul of Motorcycle Sport, participants will have the skills to undertake further official accreditation education and fulfil the responsibilities and requirements of their chosen pathway.

- Personal Preparation & Presentation
- Self-Management
- The Officials’ Legal Responsibilities
- Risk Management
- Public Liability
- Accidents & Injury
- Rules & Regulations
- Flags & their use
- Drugs in Sport
- Judical Functions
- Penalties & Appeals
Steward/Referee
This is a 3hr course that allows you to perform the duties of a Steward/Referee. For more information in regards to what these specific duties include please refer to the Manual of Motorcycle Sport.
This Seminar is applicable for any person interested in obtaining or advancing their Level 2 or higher Clerk of Course accreditation to become an accredited Steward/Referee.
The Steward/Referee Officials Seminar covers:
- Guidelines for Stewards
- Roles & Duties
- Steward Hearings
- Protests, Penalties & Appeals
- After the Meeting (reporting)
Clerk of Course
This is a 3hr course that allows you to perform the duties of a Clerk of the Course and Practice Supervisor.
The Clerk of Course Seminar is applicable for any person interested in obtaining or advancing their Clerk of Course accreditation to Level 2 or higher. The Seminar can also be used to obtain Practice Supervisor accreditation.
Individuals looking to obtain these accreditation levels will also be required to provide proof of practical experience assisting in these roles.

Race Secretary
This is a 6hr course that allows you to perform the duties of a Race Secretary.
The Race Secretary Seminar is applicable for any person interested in obtaining or advancing their Race Secretary accreditation to Level 2 or higher.
Individuals looking to obtain Level 2 (or higher) accreditation as a Race Secretary will also be required to provide proof of practical experience working / assisting in this role.
The Race Secretary Officials Seminar covers:

- Prior to the Event
- On the day Activities
- End of the Event Day
- After the Event
- RiderNet Usage
Technical Officer (formerly known as Scrutineer)
This is a 3hr course that allows you to perform the duties of a Technical Officer.
The Technical Officer Seminar is applicable for any person interested in obtaining or advancing their Scrutineer accreditation to Level 2 or higher.
Individuals looking to obtain Level 2 (or higher) accreditation as a Technical Officer will also be required to provide proof of practical experience working / assisting in this role. Please note: It is complusory when upgrading to a Level 3 Technical Officer – Sound Controlling accrediation is required / Level 4 Technical Officer – Engine Measurer accrediation is required.

Step 1 – Register for an Official Course here
Step 2 – Complete the Level 1 Operational Official Course as a pre-requisite to attend.

Step 3 – Upload Working with Children’s card (Ochre Card) as it is a pre-requisite to obtaining your official accreditation.
