Night of Champions – Nominations Open

As the 2024 season draws to a close, the time has come to honour the remarkable individuals and clubs who have shown exceptional dedication and achievement in the realm of motorcycling within the Northern Territory.

The Motorcycling NT Night of Champions is a grand celebration that recognises the diverse contributions made by members of our community, ranging from grassroots volunteerism to outstanding performances on local, state, national, and international stages.

Nominations Now Open

We are thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for this prestigious event. The Motorcycling NT Night of Champions is an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contributions and hard work of those who often work behind the scenes for the love of the sport.

Why Nominate?

Being recognised by peers is one of the highest honours a member can receive. As a community-driven sport, it is crucial to celebrate the individuals and clubs whose efforts have significantly contributed to the advancement of motorcycling in the Northern Territory. Your nomination helps shine a light on those whose dedication frequently goes unnoticed.

Who Can Nominate?

Any financial member of a Motorcycling NT Club is eligible to submit a nomination. We encourage you to take this opportunity to acknowledge an individual or club that has made a meaningful impact in the motorcycling community.

How to Nominate

When preparing your nomination, keep in mind that the judging panel seeks detailed and relevant information that highlights the nominee’s service, contribution, and achievements. There is no minimum or maximum word count, but providing a comprehensive overview will assist in the evaluation process.

Categories for Nomination

Volunteer of the Year
Recognising those who have dedicated time and effort to support events.

Club of the Year
Celebrating a club that has demonstrated outstanding community engagement and development.

Junior Rider of the Year – Enduro, Motocross, Quad, Road Race
Senior Rider of the Year – Enduro, Motocross, Quad, Road Race, Speedway, Roll Racing
Honouring an individual who has achieved exceptional results and sportsmanship in competitions.

President of the Year
Acknowledging a president who has significantly contributed to the skill development and success of riders.

Administrator of the Year
Acknowledging an Administrator who has set the standard for volunteer community sport administration.

Official of the Year
Recognising long-term commitment and influential contributions to motorcycling in the region.

Community Club Event of the Year
Recognising an exceptional Club event that provided positive engagement of the community and participants.

Ian Jordan Shield “Senior Sportsmanship”
Recognising a senior competitor who best exemplifies the spirit of MNT and MA (Ride Race Enjoy) through their attitude, demeanor, and treatment of fellow competitors, coaches, and officials.

Maureen Kohlman Shield “Junior Sportsmanship”
Recognising a junior competitor who best exemplifies the spirit of MNT and MA (Ride Race Enjoy) through their attitude, demeanor, and treatment of fellow competitors, coaches, and officials.
